Absolutely loved this spot in downtown Frederick! Tierra y Taza has such a warm, inviting atmosphere that celebrates Latin American culture in the best way. I ordered the Costa Rican pour-over, and it was so smooth and flavorful it didn’t even need cream or sugar. I also tried Sandy’s Creation(sourdough with arugula, pesto, cheese, and turkey), which had all my favorite things in one bite. The conchas and empanadas were also amazing, packed with flavor and baked perfectly. The vibe here is spot-on—great music, cozy setting, and it honestly feels like stepping into a little café in Central/South America. Between the food, coffee, and ambiance, there’s nothing more I could ask for. Definitely will be coming back here every time I’m in the area!

I got the best, most flavorful and delicious cappuccino here. I actually had no idea and did not expect a cappuccino to have a distinct and pleasant coffee flavor until I found this place. The young lady behind the counter was one of the two owners of this business. She was very efficient, courteous, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the product and the value they offer. It was a pleasure to learn about the coffee and to drink it.

Came here during the grand opening. I got the El Amenecer sandwich, a concha and a latte. It was all very delicious. I did not expect to be full and satisfied from the sandwich. It looks like it wouldn’t be enough but it’s def filling. Would come back here. My favorite spot in the cafe would have to be the window nook. It’s so cozy.

I’m so excited this shop opened. It’s not your typical coffee shop with bacon egg and cheese bagels (not that there’s anything wrong with that). Their beef and chicken empanadas and coffees are delicious and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is light and cozy. One of the staff members even surprised us with a free cookie :). I’m looking forward to coming back!

A much needed addition to Market Street! Tierra y Taza is cute coffee shop that brings a refreshing new vibe to downtown. Super boutique and great coffee! I tried the concha which is a sweet pastry and also had their drip coffee. A must stop when walking around downtown!

This little coffee shop packs a lot of charm and tasty treats into a small space, and succeeds where so many other coffee spots fail - it feels warm, inviting, and most of all authentically original. The coffee drinks are all made well, and are straight forward. Don’t be fooled by their size. If you’re not sure what to order, get the Cortado, you won’t regret it. The food is also excellent, and while a bit pricey (what isn’t these days), it’s great for sharing and well balanced whether it’s savory or sweet. They’re also all made in house. The only downside is that the seating area is a little cramped, so when it gets busy it’s hard to hear your conversation. But that’s just the result of it being a small building. I don’t know if having small booths would fix that issue and feeling or not. That being said, it’s a great place. Check it out, tell your friends, and support a great small business. I know I will.

Went in for coffee and came out with half a dozen empanadas. Sooo delicious! I sliced the empanadas in thirds as breakfast for the family and was the Hero of Saturday morning. Next time I'm getting twice as many sweet and savory so everyone gets at least one of their favorites. And the sauce, so good!!!
